Self care is a lifestyle

It saddens me that we work so hard that we need reminders to care deeply for ourselves. With that being said, I define self care as mental and physical wellness tasks. The small, sometimes time consuming things that add to your overall wellness, but are easily neglected in the interest of time.

I’m a runner, which means that my feet are constantly put to the test, day after day. mile after mile. I have gotten into the habit of intentional foot care. Sometimes this is a long foot bath, other times it is applying freshly harvested Aloe Vera gel to rough, bruised or sore areas.

For someone like me who is constantly on the go, it is a soothing, self affirming task to dedicate a length of time to carefully taking care of my feet.
